Editorial Standards
Our editorial standards
Wise in Mind publishes practical guides to mental fitness: meditation and mindfulness techniques, thinking skills, emotional boundaries and everyday focus. We write for busy adults and parents who want tools they can use today, explained plainly and honestly. This page explains who writes our articles, how we check them, and how we keep them accurate.
What we cover, and what we don't
Our articles cover self-guided practices for everyday well-being. They are not therapy, and they don't diagnose or treat any mental health condition. When a topic touches on clinical concerns such as depression, anxiety disorders or trauma, we say so clearly and point readers to qualified professionals. If you are in crisis in the US, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Who writes and reviews our content
Every article has a named author, and every author has a profile listing their background and the topics they cover. Before publication, each article is edited and approved by our editor.
Articles that discuss the evidence for a practice, or that touch on mental health, are also reviewed by credentialed mental health professionals. Reviewed articles show the reviewer's name and the review date.
How we research
• We favor primary research: peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews, and guidance from bodies such as the National Institutes of Health and the American Psychological Association. • We link to our sources in the article, so readers can check them. • We describe the strength of the evidence honestly. If a practice has only small or early studies behind it, we say so. We don't promise results. • When experts disagree, we explain the disagreement instead of picking a side without saying why.
How we use AI
We may use AI tools to help with research, outlines or first drafts. A human editor reviews, rewrites and fact-checks every article before it is published, and we never use AI to create fake experts, quotes or testimonials. Our authors and editors are responsible for everything we publish.
Keeping content current
We review our most-read articles at least once a year, and sooner when new research changes the picture. Each article shows when it was first published and when it was last updated.
Advertising and independence
Wise in Mind is free to read and supported by advertising. Advertisers don't choose our topics, review our articles before publication, or influence what we recommend. Sponsored or paid content, if we publish it, is clearly labeled.
Corrections and feedback
If you spot an error or something out of date, email info@wiseinmind.com. We review every report, correct confirmed errors, and note significant corrections at the end of the article.
